About Our Church

 Our Mission

A real Church is not a building but rather is a community where real people find real answers for the real world. Saint Paul's Lutheran Church - College Hill is filled with real people finding a real sense of community in the eternal truth and love of Jesus Christ. That’s the essence of what our motto, “Families Growing Stronger in Christ,” is all about!

Our motto, "Families Growing Stronger in Christ," and ministry mission statement is based on Saint Paul’s inspired prayer for God’s family, the church:

“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths,
but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion,
that it may give grace to those who hear...

Be kind to one another,
tenderhearted,
forgiving one another,
as God in Christ forgave you."

Based on Ephesians 4:29, 32 (ESV)

 National Affiliation

LCMS

Tracing our roots back to 1st Century Christianity and the Lutheran Reformation of the 16th Century, we are a local church family of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (“synod” literally means “walking together”). With international headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, the LCMS is made up of more than 6,500 congregations “walking together” in the United States with mission partners throughout the world. Through our affiliation with the LCMS, we support mission work in over 35 foreign countries and train pastors, missionaries, church workers, and teachers to staff the largest Protestant system of parochial grade schools and high schools in the United States.
